Internal Marks

Academic performance of the students is evaluated in a systematic manner as per the prescribed norms. Internal performance is valued and marks awarded on the basis of day-to-day work, periodic tests (minimum-2) and assignments (minimum-3). The allocation of internal marks for individual subjects of each semester shall be on the following basis:

B.Tech

Theory Subjects: Attendance 20%, Tests 50%, Assignments 30%

Drawing: Attendance 20%, Tests 40%, Class Work 40%

Practical: Attendance 20%, Tests 40%, Class Work 40%

Project Work: Work as assessed by Internal Guide 50% (Assessed by a three member Committee out of which one member is the guide- 50% ).

About Internal marks

i)Series test(50%)

• Two series tests of 50 marks each will be conducted in addition to the class tests.

• The students who remain absent can apply for the retest on genuine grounds within five days after the completion of the regular test.

• Based on the recommendation of the advisor, the HOD may forward the request for the retest to the Principal.

• Retest will be conducted for the deserving student depending on the decision made by the Principal on a prescheduled date.

ii)Attendance(20%)

The Internal marks allotted for attendance in each subject (theory, practical or drawing) shall be awarded in full only if the candidate has secured 90% attendance in the subject. Proportionate reduction will be made in the case of attendance below 90%.

iii) Assignment (30%)

Every student must submit three assignments for each theory subject. Assignments are graded based on their quality& content. Due weightage is given for punctuality in submission.
