HEAD, Department of Computer Science Engineering

Started his career in the year 1999 and has several years of teaching and industrial experience. He has worked with the Information Kerala Mission and was the Head of the Department of Computer Science, KVM College of Engineering & IT, Cherthala. Currently doing PhD.

CYBORG

The association aims at improving the technical knowledge of the students and to keep them abreast with the latest softwares and technologies evolving in the field of information technology. Orientation classes for freshers, technical talk by eminent personalities, conduct of workshop; seminars etc are organized by the association.

Major Facilities include

  • Laboratories in the department are well equipped with advanced machines and sufficient number of terminals.
  • 4 Mbps broadband internet connectivity
  • MICROSOFT CAMPUS AGREEMENT - latest softwares made available.
  • Internationally certified training programmes from Microsoft Cisco and Sun Microsystems in tie up with Logics.
  • The department is having the following labs with LAN, loaded with dual operating systems Linux and Windows.
  • Licensed versions of latest tools for developing front end and back end are available.

CYBORG 2010 -’11

Dr. Nithin Nagaraj (AP, Department of Electronics, Amrutha School of Engg. Karunagappally) inaugurated the activities of CYBORG (Association of students of Computer Science & Engineering) for the academic year 2010 - ’11 on 18th August 2010. A technical talk on ‘Cryptography’ by Dr.
Nithin Nagaraj followed the inauguration.

Paper Presentations & Courses

  • Ms. Vinitha Alice Mathew (Lecturer) attended a staff development programme on ‘Compiler Design’ from 21st June to 2nd July 2010 conducted by the Dept. of CSE and IT of Rajagiri School of Engg & Technology in association with NIT Calicut and ISTE.

 

  • Ms. Raji R. Pillai (AP) presented a paper titled ‘Linear text segmentation using classification techniques’, at the international conference, Amrita ACM-W Celebration on Women in Computing in India(A2CWiC), at Amrita Viswa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, on 16th September,2010.

 

  • Assistant Professors, Ms. Reeba R and Ms. Supriya L.P., participated in the National Seminar on Digital Image Processing at Mount Zion College of Engineering on 12th March 2011.

 

  • Papers were presented by the faculty members in the International Conference on Emerging Technology Trends at BMCE, Sasthamcotta on 25th and 26th of March 2011.

  • Ms. Minu Lalitha Madhav (AP) and Ms. Priyanka (Lecturer) attended a short term training programme in 'Open Source Tools in Engineering Design and Documentation' from May 16 to May 21 at College of Engineering, Karunagappally.

 

  • Lecturers, Ms. Soumya Murali, Ms. Dhanya Sreedharan, and Ms. Supriya L.P. (AP) participated in the National Seminar on Real Time Operating Systems at Sree Buddha College of Engineering, Pattoor from 30th May to 1st June.
