Mechanical engineering is a board field of engineering that involves the application of physical principles for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. The system can be as simple as the design of chair for comfort or as complex as the operations of a turbocharged engine for speed. It can be as small as the manufacturing of nano – sized gear or as large as the structure of a super tanker used to carry oil around the world. The department has a rare blend of dynamic youngsters guided by a group of eminent and experienced professors. |
Prof. P. BHASURESAN
Professor & Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering
Graduated from TKM College of Engineering, Kollam in 1973 and joined as Lecturer in the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering of the same institute. Took M.Tech Degree from IIT Madras. Retired from service in the year 2005 as a Prof. & Head, Part time B.Tech Degree course and joined SBCE as a Prof. & Head. Is life member of ISTE and Institute of Engineers (INDIA).
