TACHYONS
The TACHYONS, Departmental association of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is to support and nourish the technical and artistic skills of the students. It is an organization that binds together talented technocrats of future. It promotes the students in their academic as well as co-curricular activities.
The Department has excellent laboratory infrastructural facilities and the students are trained in the following laboratories to enhance their practical skills. Some of them are:

Availability of all equipments and testing devices such as Transformer oil test kit, 11kV capacitance divider, Sphere gap assembly& Stepper motor enriches our lab.
CURSO ’10
Dr.Pavithran (former Chief Engineer of K.S.E.B. & Principal, Mount Zion College of Engg, Chengannur) inaugurated CURSO ’10, the activities of TACHYONS (Association of Students of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of SBCE) for the Year 2010-’11, on 30th July 2010.
Paper Presentations & Courses
- Ms.Praseetha K. (AP) and Ms.Deepa C.V. (Lecturer) attended training programme on ‘Recent trends in Power systems’ at Sainkitts College of Engg. Kottayam from 26th to 28th October, 2010.
- Ms.Sindhu V (Lecturer ) attended training programme on ‘Electrical System Design’ at Mar Basallieous College of Engg, Trivandrum from 8th November to 13th November, 2010.
- Ms. Praseetha K (AP) attended a short term course “ANSTE 2011” on advances in numerical and statistical techniques for engineers at NIT Calicut from 30th May 2011 to 3rd June 2011.
